CoachComm to equip Tiger Walk with 36,000 watts of sound at Iron Bowl 2015
The audible enthusiasm of thousands of cheering fans coupled with the pounding percussion and brassy blares of a band on the move outside of Jordan-Hare Stadium before every Auburn home game signify a tradition that for more than 50 years has helped amp up the football team and its supporters prior to taking the field.
This Saturday, as the Auburn Tigers make their traditional Tiger Walk trek down Donahue Drive, a path carved through columns of football fanatics, before taking on archrivals the Alabama Crimson Tide, cheers and band sounds will be joined by another sign of celebration as one local business is partnering with Auburn University to help provide the ultimate fan experience.
“People are motivated with great music,” said Mike Whitley, director of sales for Auburn-based CoachComm. “It just creates high energy, enthusiasm, excitement and a fantastic game-day environment.”
Adding something new to a treasured tradition, CoachComm, a leader in communications systems technology across a variety of venues, will be lining Tiger Walk on Saturday with its newest product line — eVenue Thunder, which features speaker “ePods,” each with the capability to put out 4,000 watts of concert-quality audio. CoachComm is partnering with Auburn University on the venture with the goal of giving fans the best pre-game experience possible for this year’s Iron Bowl.
