After 50 years of disappointment not making it to the playoffs, Lenoir-Rhyne University promoted Mike Houston to Head Coach two years ago and they have seen instant success with two consecutive Southern Atlantic Championships, the most recent being their first outright league title in 37 years. One thing Coach Houston knew he had to do once he got to the top was upgrade the Bears headsets to the best system available. After years of struggles, difficulties, and frustrations with their previous communication systems, they made the upgrade to Tempest FX.

“It was refreshing this fall when we had no problems throughout the year. We are really thankful we made the switch and look forward to using Tempest FX moving forward”, stated Coach Houston.

L-R and Coach Houston knew they needed a dependable, proven system on game days that will continue to assist them in their rise through the NCAA Division II ranks for years to come. CoachComm’s Tempest technology is currently being used by over 97% of BCS programs across the country so Lenoir-Rhyne University knew they were getting a system that was reliable. With the same after-hours game day support as their D-I counterparts, L-R’s addition of the Tempest FX system to their sideline was the best choice they could have made for their coaches’ communication.
