Our History
Winning is Our Business
With over 27 years of unrivaled excellence in coaching headset communications we've built our business on winning. CoachComm is the wireless coaches’ communications provider for 97% of Division 1A colleges and thousands of high school and small college programs across the country. At every level, from high school to professional, champions choose CoachComm for their coaches’ communications.
Based out of Auburn, Ala., CoachComm offers the best communications equipment and coaching tools available on the market today.

Connex sets the Standard
Introduced in 2004, Connex sets the standard in wireless coaching headsets and communication, was the result of Peter's focused efforts in headset technology. CoachComm Connex® features 2.4GHz Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum technology, which provides clear, reliable communication at an affordable price for coaches. CoachComm's continued commitment to product innovation and quality have made the Connex headset system our flagship product.

Tempest NG
In 2008, the Tempest NG system was developed on the 2.4GHz Tempest® Wireless platform, and thus provided customers with unforeseen flexibility with their coaches’ communications. In 2011, CoachComm introduced Tempest NG900, which operates in the license-free 900 MHz frequency spectrum. The Tempest NG900 model provides our D1 collegiate customers already using the Tempest NG system with another wireless option on game day.

SmartBoom Headset Technology
In 2012, CoachComm introduced the S-Series Headsets with SmartBoom® Technology. This new headset with smartboom technology allows the user to mute the headset mic by simply raising the boom. This eliminates the need to push the talk button and makes talking and listening easier.

Expanding Outside Sports
CoachComm has expanded its communication vision to encompass cutting-edge wireless technologies for the production community, among other markets. CoachComm's Tempest® product serves as a DTV transition solution. Tempest is a frequency hopping, spread spectrum wireless intercom unit that operates in 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz bands - bands that don't require licenses and are already in commercial use with cordless phones, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Tempest is an emerging technology that provides many markets with a "new way of wireless audio" in a changing spectrum. Tempest is truly “wireless for the real world.”

Digital Technology for a New Age
CoachComm understands the changing digital world, and adapted to meet the needs of more tech-savvy coaches by providing digital technology for a new age. With our Tempo® system, introduced in 2012, coaches can enhance practice through choreographed music and sound, communications, and clock control. Teams can build practice scripts with music and sounds that are customized to each individual period. CoachComm's new practice and sound solutions serve to create a collection of products that will pave the way for our company in the 21st century.

Sound and Event Management
CoachComm continues down the path of innovation with the introduction of eVenue™ Thunder. Thunder is a revolutionary mobile event management system that offers concert quality audio and workflow management for any live venue.

Revolutionizing Sideline Communications
CoachComm once again completely revolutionized sideline communications with the introduction of the all-new CoachComm X-System, featuring new and exciting tools for 21st century sidelines!
The X-System was specifically designed to meet the ultra-complex needs of a new generation of college football teams. With the X-System, teams can deploy an incredible number of communications tools to connect not only coaches, but also managers, trainers, and other support personnel. The result is a more dynamic and efficient team approach to game day communications.

New Division, New Wireless Intercom
Pliant Technologies, a new professional intercom division, was created to address the unique needs of CoachComm professional customers. In the professional marketplace, CoachComm is best known for the revolutionary Tempest® wireless intercom system, which is used daily in more than 40 countries in industries such as broadcast, live sound, theater, theme park, event management and maritime, as well as in many other applications. In keeping with our commitment to developing technologies that are dependable, durable and easy-to-use, Pliant also introduced a new and innovative professional wireless intercom product, CrewCom, at NAB 2016. CrewCom is based on a totally new technology platform that offers the industry’s highest user density, unparalleled range, and scalability.

Practice Made Smarter
CoachComm introduced eVenue® Tempo - a smaller, more compact practice management solution designed to provide total control over practice through time management, motivation, and coordination tools. From anywhere on the field, Tempo provides control of practice scripts, music, sounds, communication, and the management of play clocks. eVenue Tempo provides teams with a competitive edge that helps teams practice smarter, not harder.

A Winning Addition to the Lineup
CoachComm is known for providing teams with effortless, worry-free and reliable coaching communications. As teams were telling us they needed high quality, but affordable headsets, we responded. We introduced COBALT, a new coaching headset system that delivers in size, price, and performance.
Exceptional audio quality, quick set up and simple operation make CoachComm Cobalt a great choice of headset systems for any team looking for great performance at a small price.
