“I’ve only known Rick from his time at CoachComm. While he was always a fun-loving and friendly guy to everyone at the office, he had the reputation (one which he actively promoted) of being a tough guy who didn’t put up with nonsense in the business world. That was the Rick that any casual observer might describe. That said, we were in a small group together for a while several years ago. It was during the time that Tricia had been diagnosed with cancer. They would both come to the group each week and share what they were going through and their feelings. I got a glimpse into the man Rick really was, inside. It turns out that behind that tough business exterior, he was a man that deeply loved and cared about people and what they were going through. I think that’s why people loved Rick so much. They saw that in the way he interacted with everyone who worked here. He will be missed.”
Tom Turkington
VP of Technology, CoachComm
“I had the honor of knowing Rick for most of my life. We grew up in the same community, and then years later would come to work together here at CoachComm. Rick was friend, boss, and mentor. He was fiercely loyal, tough, but yet had a heart of a giant. He loved his family and friends deeply. You could always count on Rick and would always do the right thing. We can all learn so much from his example. Prayers for his family. He will be missed by all.“
Mike Whitley
VP of Sales, CoachComm
“The loss of such a wonderful man is tremendous. He was a great boss, but he was also a caring friend who always had time and an ear for whatever you needed. Jim Carrey once said, “Grief is not just an emotion—it’s an unraveling, a space where something once lived but is now gone. It carves through you, leaving a hollow ache where love once resided.“ In our unraveling and grief, I can also hear Rick saying, “push on through, it will be ok...it’s going to be just fine.” That was Rick in a nutshell, and I’ll miss my mentor and most importantly, my friend.”
Debbie Hamby
VP of Marketing, CoachComm
"Rick was an incredible leader for CoachComm. He led by example by being a true Christian man and his door was always open whenever you needed him. He taught me many life lessons not only through work but also through my own personal walk with Christ. It was an honor to work for him, and he will truly be missed."
Gardner Swindall
Senior Manager, Supply Chain, CoachComm
"Rick, thank you for all the talks we would have about life and always moving forward. Even when life was at its worst, you always shined and made us feel better about ourselves. You will be missed tremendously, but we all know you are in Paradise now. Thanks for everything Rick!"
Spence “Mac” McCracken Jr
Sales Representative, CoachComm
“Rick was always there for anyone for anything, a father figure. He is already missed beyond words.”
Steve Pastor
Business Manager, CoachComm
"I had tremendous respect for Rick because of his unique disposition and how he subsequently approached life and people. He almost always appeared unflappable - even when he wasn't. He always had some wisdom to share and was a great listener. Generous, approachable, tough, caring and a straight-shooter are some of his key characteristics. I already miss his mentorship, as well as his friendship."
Allan Lowery
VP of Operations, CoachComm
Rick Crowley touched countless lives at CoachComm. His leadership, friendship, and character made this company—and the people in it—better. In this tribute, we honor his memory and share heartfelt stories from those who knew and loved him most.

Rick, the Fighter
There are no words to describe Rick’s brave battle with cancer during these last several years. His strength of character, enormous faith, and positive outlook were truly something to behold. Simply put, we were in awe of him. His sickness did not diminish who he was and up until the very end, he fought for life, friends, and his beloved family.
Rick, the Friend
Rick was deeply loved, and that love was mutual. His office was a revolving door of visitors—colleagues seeking advice, encouragement, or just a quick chat. If you needed anything, Rick was there—steadfast, thoughtful, and always ready to help.
He had a unique balance of being both laid-back and direct. You couldn’t rattle him easily, and his calm demeanor made him a natural problem solver. He was kind, honest, and fair—someone who didn’t waste time with nonsense but always treated others with respect.
And of course, there was his signature response to the greeting “How are you today?”—He would always reply “Just Wonderful.” That line that still echoes through our halls.

Rick, the General Manager
Rick brought with him a wealth of experience and a natural ability to lead. His career spanned several successful roles in the financial and business sectors, but CoachComm was always his favorite. While he respected the work and appreciated the business, what meant the most to him were the people. He often said the real joy came from working alongside individuals he admired and cared about deeply.
